By accessing and using Socratic Parent ("the Service"), provided by Arcadone, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Socratic Parent is an educational tool designed to help parents guide their children through homework problems using the Socratic method. The Service uses AI to provide step-by-step explanations and coaching questions, but does NOT solve homework directly.

3. Educational Purpose

This Service is intended to:

• Help parents understand their child's homework
• Provide coaching frameworks for parent-child dialogue
• Encourage critical thinking and learning over direct answers
• Support educational growth through guided inquiry

The Service is NOT intended to:

• Complete homework on behalf of students
• Provide direct answers without explanation
• Replace proper educational instruction
• Facilitate academic dishonesty

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the Service for legitimate educational purposes only
• Supervise your child's use of the Service
• Not use the Service to complete assignments without learning
• Provide accurate information during registration
• Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
• Not share your account with others

5. Payment Terms

The Service offers:

• Free Tier: 3 homework analyses per day
• Premium Tier: $9.99/month for unlimited analyses

Payment processing is handled by Paddle. By subscribing, you agree to recurring monthly charges until you cancel. You may cancel at any time through your account settings or by contacting support.

6. Refund Policy

Arcadone offers a 14-day money-back guarantee for Premium subscriptions. To request a refund, contact support at david.bobek.business@gmail.com within 14 days of your initial purchase. Refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days of approval.

7. Content and Privacy

Uploaded homework images are:

• Processed immediately and NOT permanently stored
• Used only to generate educational guidance
• Not shared with third parties (except AI processing)
• Deleted after analysis is complete

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Socratic Parent and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Accuracy of AI-generated explanations
• Availability or uptime of the Service
• Specific educational outcomes
• Compatibility with all devices or browsers

Socratic Parent shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service.

10. Account Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend accounts that:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Use the Service for academic dishonesty
• Abuse or overload system resources
• Engage in fraudulent payment activity

11. Age Requirements

The Service is intended for parents and guardians. Users must be at least 18 years old to create an account and agree to these terms.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
